Foresight: The Ability to See What’s Coming
This is the core of the Star Bright effort. Yes, our mission is to find a path forward. But, if we cannot see where the path leads, we fail. If we cannot show others where the path leads, we fail.
To see the path we must first understand where we are. We must turn around and see where we have been. The path from the past to present and into the future is written mostly in data. Only a small portion is written in everyday language. But data is hard to understand. In recent years many techniques have been developed to show data visually. Vision is, by far, our best tool for comprehending patterns. Vision is our best sense for seeing the path. Below are a series of videos about data visualization. Watching them will help explain what we need your help to do.

What We Need Help With
What’s Important’s Important to Show About the Future?: If you were about to see a presentation of what is coming, what would you expect to see? In the “Collapse or Golden Age” Debate we started with a list of issues drawn from various news reports and from organizations working to address problems. Are these the right things to focus on in a look at the future.
