The Theory and the Science
Why Do the Star Bright Project?
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results”
– Albert Einstein
In the past, power elites designed our various societies.
They have created 840 empires. None are left.
By one count they created 21 civilizations. All but one are gone.
Perhaps it is time to try something else.
The People’s Think Tank
Who can better envision our future than those immersed in the everyday reality of it?
Determining what constitutes a high quality of life is within the purview of the people alone.
Omitting the people from the process resembles a doctor practicing medicine without a patient.
Thoughtful, science-driven contemplation on enhancing the world transforms one’s perspective.
Think Tank Support Tools

Practical Application
Every Day People Are Creating a Better World.
These are Their Stories!
For 60,000 years our ancestors came together each night and gathered around the campfire for heat, light, protection, to cook, and to tell stories. We have been hooked on stories ever since. We divide our campfire stories into three types; 1) Community Stories, 2) Situation Briefs, and 3) Star Bright Change Efforts.
Community Stories:
Highlight the Impact: Explore the impactful work of the 10,000,000 pro-social organizations and 300,000,000 businesses worldwide, each contributing to a collective movement for a better world. Our focus includes the local geographical communities and the sometimes global spanning communities we are part of. We shed light on the often-overlooked stories of these organizations, showcasing the positive changes they bring to enhance the quality of life for everyone. Rejecting the attention-seeking paradign, we delve into the genuine acts of kindness and better world progress that deserve more recognition. Join us as we highlight the grassroots efforts shaping the quality of life in your community, often overlooked in the noise of our attention-seeking world.
Situation Briefs with Forecasts:
Navigating Currents: Dive into the depths of prevalent issues and opportunities that dominate our news and social media. We provide concise summaries based on factual information and well-analyzed data. Beyond the present, our forecasts offer insights into the key descriptive data, helping readers anticipate and understand the evolving landscape. Stay informed with our comprehensive overviews, turning complex situations into comprehensible narratives.
Star Bright Change Agent Projects:
From Theory to Reality: Embark on a journey with Star Bright as we take on the role of change agent. Moving beyond theoretical discussions, our efforts focus on the practical implementation of positive changes. These are the stories of our sucesses and failures to change something in the world. Witness the transformative efforts and initiatives that play a crucial role in shaping the future. Join us in understanding, envisioning, and actively participating in the journey towards a brighter, more sustainable civilization.
Why Bother?
We’re Already Doomed!
It’s a sentiment that echoes through the corridors of contemporary discourse, a shadow cast by the myriad challenges facing our world. The fear of a species-extinction-level event lurks on the fringes of our collective consciousness, prompting existential questions about the fate of humanity. Yet, amidst this looming uncertainty, a call to action emerges, urging us to reconsider the narrative that declares our inevitable demise.
“Someday we may face a species extinction level event. But, it is not today. Today we seize the opportunity to be more.”
This proclamation is a rallying cry for resilience, a refusal to succumb to the fatalistic notion that all is lost. It invites us to confront the challenges of tomorrow with the vigor of today, recognizing that while the future may hold uncertainties, the present is pregnant with possibilities. It challenges us to transcend the inertia of despair and, instead, embrace the agency to shape a different narrative for ourselves and future generations.
“Before you give up on homo Sapiens, do three things.”
1. Quit paying attention to our attention-seeking news and social media. Honest truthful assessment is not on their agenda. This first directive implores us to reassess our sources of information. In an era dominated by sensationalism, misinformation, conspiracy, and clickbait headlines, the call to detach from attention-seeking narratives urges us to seek out more reliable, unbiased channels. By fostering a discerning approach to media consumption, we can cultivate a clearer understanding of our world and its challenges.
2. Read our stories about the many good things people are doing to make this a better world. Amidst the deluge of despair, there exists a trove of narratives that often goes unnoticed – stories of individuals, communities, and organizations actively working to instigate positive change. This plea encourages us to shift our focus towards these uplifting tales, recognizing the transformative power of collective action and the multitude of endeavors aimed at crafting a better world.
3. Look around your community for the good things people are doing. If you cannot find good deed doers, look again. If you still cannot find them, perhaps you need to try another community. The call to inspect our immediate surroundings underscores the importance of localized efforts. It prompts us to engage with our communities, to seek out the unsung heroes and the positive initiatives that often operate quietly beneath the surface. If our current environment appears devoid of positive influences, the challenge is issued to explore and connect with alternative communities where such endeavors flourish.
In the face of impending challenges, this rallying cry urges us to confront the inertia of despair, redirect our attention toward positive narratives, and actively engage with the community groups striving for positive change. It transforms the narrative of doom into an opportunity for resilience and collective action. It urges us to pursue a future defined not by fatalism, but by our shared capacity, to be the more, that we are meant to be.
Our Four Phase Process
We Seek First to Understand:
Star Bright’s bold quest begins with a commitment to unraveling the complexities of our world. We seek to move past opinion and attention seeking media to an accurate assessment of where we are and where we are headed.
“All Things Considered”:
We diverge from single-issue advocacy efforts, and look toward the larger panorama to create a mixed strategy that maximizes our overall quality of life.
Engineering and Science-based Methodology:
We use state-of-the-art computer simulations, extensive societal databases, and an AI research assistant to formulate proposals for change.
Testing Ground in Reality:
We test the viability of our change agent proposals in the crucible of the real world. We document and communicate the results, contributing to a dynamic dialogue.
